Lambda in scale of billions 🚀☁️ #75
Inferless, Fermyon, and Redpanda see dawn while Fauna sees dusk
In the previous issue, Happy 19th Amazon S3 🚀☁️ #74 we celebrated the 19-year run of S3 and reflected on its growth from a simple object storage to a power house for analytics today.
Lambda function stands as a backbone to many applications and workloads today, and yes it handles trillions of invocations with millions of customers using it. The AWS team (Anton Aleksandrov, Rajesh Kumar Pandey, and Chris McPeek) has published the best practices for handling billions of invocations. And, importantly how observability plays a pivotal role in async invocations.
Serverless today has outgrown, and the adoption in enterprises is a clear testament to what it brings in the future! The companies and DevTools with Serverless are also growing. Serverless in conjunction with ML has been the talk of the town! With that great to see companies like Inferless, Redpanda, and Fermyon innovating in this space.

Jones Zachariah Noel N (author) shares Amazon S3 is more than storage and brings in a lot for the analytics ecosystem from the updates from re:Invent and the popularity of S3.
